Care and Sizing
Everything you need to choose the right fit and keep your pieces looking the way they did the day you found them.
01
Jewellery care
A few small habits keep every piece bright for years.
- On last, off first. Put jewellery on after perfume, lotion and hairspray, and take it off before washing, swimming, exercising or sleeping.
- Keep it dry. Water, sweat and chlorine dull metal and plating over time. Dry a piece straight away if it gets wet.
- Store pieces apart. Keep each piece in its own pouch or box compartment so stones and chains don't scratch or tangle.
- Clean gently. Wipe with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid jewellery dips, toothpaste and anything abrasive, especially on plated pieces.
02
Ring sizes
Australia uses letter sizes. Wrap a thin strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps and measure the length in millimetres, then find the closest size below.
| Size | Around the finger | Diameter |
|---|---|---|
| H | 46.8 mm | 14.9 mm |
| I | 48.0 mm | 15.3 mm |
| J | 49.3 mm | 15.7 mm |
| K | 50.6 mm | 16.1 mm |
| L | 51.8 mm | 16.5 mm |
| M | 53.1 mm | 16.9 mm |
| N | 54.4 mm | 17.3 mm |
| O | 55.7 mm | 17.7 mm |
| P | 56.9 mm | 18.1 mm |
| Q | 58.2 mm | 18.5 mm |
| R | 59.5 mm | 18.9 mm |
Sizes are approximate. Measure at the end of the day when fingers are warmest, and if you're between two sizes, choose the larger.
03
Necklace lengths
- 40 cm
- Sits at the base of the neck, close to the collarbone.
- 45 cm
- Falls just below the collarbone. The most versatile length for pendants.
- 50 cm
- Rests a little lower, sitting nicely above most necklines.
- 60 cm
- Falls toward the chest and works well over higher necklines.
Lengths sit differently on everyone. Lay a piece of string around your neck to see where each length falls before you choose.
04
Bracelet fit
Measure snugly around your wrist bone with a soft tape or a strip of paper, then add room for how you like it to sit:
- Close
- Add about 1 cm. Best for tennis bracelets, so the stones stay on top of the wrist.
- Comfortable
- Add about 1.5 to 2 cm for chain and charm bracelets that move with you.
- Relaxed
- Add about 2.5 cm for a looser, layered look.
05
How to layer
- Start short. Begin with your shortest necklace and build down, leaving about 5 cm between each length so they don't tangle.
- Choose one focal piece. Let a single pendant or stone lead, and keep the others finer.
- Mix textures, keep one tone. Pair a fine chain with pearls or stones, staying within one metal colour for a polished look.
- Stack with intent. The same rule works for bracelets and earrings: one statement, the rest quiet.
06
Choosing a gift
- Not sure of a size? Earrings and necklaces are the easiest gifts because they fit everyone.
- Notice what they wear. Rose, yellow or silver tones in their everyday jewellery are the best clue to what they'll love.
- Think about their day. Studs and fine chains suit every day; statement pieces suit someone who loves an occasion.
